Poul Lars Høgh Pedersen (born January 14, 1959 in Odense ) is a former Danish football goalkeeper and national player .

He won three Danish football championships, three times the Danish Cup with Odense BK and won the award for best Danish goalkeeper five times. He had eight appearances in the Danish national team. He was nominated for the 1986 World Cup and the 1996 European Football Championship . He was part of the Danish team at the 1995 Confederations Cup .

Born in Odense, Høgh started his football career in his hometown. He made his senior debut in 1977 as an amateur, later he became a semi-professional and finally a full professional. In the national team he was a substitute behind Mogens Therkildsen when OB won the Danish championship in 1977. In the following years he established himself as OBs goalkeeper and made his debut in March 1979 for the Danish U21 team. He was part of the Odense BK team that won the Danish Championship in 1982 and the Cup in 1983. He was appointed to the national team by Sepp Piontek . His debut there took place at the 1986 World Cup in May.

He started the World Cup as a substitute, but played Denmark's last two games in the tournament. Høgh had replaced Troels Rasmussen when Denmark beat Germany 2-0 and made it to the knockout round. In the quarter-finals against Spain, Høgh had to allow four goals from Emilio Butragueño and Denmark lost 5-1 and were eliminated. After the 1986 World Cup, Høgh was named the best goalkeeper in the league. Troels Rasmussen claimed his leadership position in the national team and Høgh had his last assignment there in September 1987.

He continued his career at Odense BK. Høgh reached another Danish championship with the team in 1989 and the cup triumphs of 1991 and 1993. He won the award for the best goalkeeper of the year four times and in 1994 had achieved a record with five of these titles. Høgh was also on the national team at the 1995 King Fahd Cup, the Confederations Cup, when he represented Peter Schmeichel. In the second game of the tournament, Høgh suffered an injury and was replaced by Mogens Krogh , who also guarded the goal when Denmark won the tournament.

Høgh ended his football career in 2000 at the age of 41. He had played for Odense all his footballing life and had made 817 matches since his debut in 1977. Høgh then served for three years as sports director at BK Odense. He became a coach and in particular a goalkeeping coach. In 2008 he replaced Jørgen Henriksen as such in the national team.
