Lars Iyer

Lars Iyer (born May 2, 1970 in London ) is a British writer and philosopher .

Life

Lars Iyer was born in West London and grew up in the Thames Valley . He studied and obtained a PhD in philosophy . After teaching at Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Hertfordshire , Iyer is currently a lecturer at Newcastle University . Iyer made his debut as an author with two works on the French writer Maurice Blanchot . He made his writing debut in 2011 with the short novella Spurious , which kicked off a trilogy which, after Dogma, ended in 2013 in Exodus. For the novel Exodus he was nominated for the Goldsmiths Prize in 2013.
