Wolfgang Berends (* 1966 in Munich ) is a German poet , translator and archivist .

Life

Wolfgang Berends has been head of the library in the Lyrik Kabinett since 2004 . He writes his own lyrical texts which appear in numerous anthologies and magazines (. Eg Außer.dem , Signum (magazine) ) and also in the radio were published. He also presents his poetry at readings. He also works as a reviewer. In addition, he transfers poetry from other languages. One of these works was included in the list of recommended new publications by the German Academy for Language and Poetry in 2012. In 2009 he was one of the three finalists for the translation grant from the cultural department of the City of Munich.

He has three children and lives and works in Munich.
