Larsen Jensen (born September 1, 1985 in Bakersfield , California ) is an American freestyle swimmer .

Career

Larsen Jensen has been world class since the 2003 World Championships in Barcelona , where he won silver in the 800m freestyle. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , he won silver in the 1500m freestyle and was fourth in the 400m. The 2005 World Championships in Montreal brought again the runner-up title in the 800 m, and also the 1500 m freestyle. The 2006 Short Course World Cup in Shanghai was less successful . In the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay, the athlete from Los Angeles won the bronze medal, but he missed it in fourth over 1500 m and only seventh over 400 m. Jensen also missed a medal in fourth place in the 1500 m at the World Championships in Melbourne , as well as at the 2008 Short Course World Cup in Manchester , where the Trojan Swim Club political student also came fourth in the USA's 4 × 200 m freestyle relay .

In the 2008 Olympic Games from Beijing won Jensen, who is trained by Dave Salo, behind the South Korean Tae-Hwan Park and the Chinese Zhang Lin the bronze medal in the 400m freestyle in 3: 42.78 minutes. He will also compete on the 1500 m course.
