The Las Vegas Sting were an arena football team from Las Vegas , Nevada that played in the Arena Football League (AFL). They played their home games in the MGM Grand Garden Arena .
history
The Sting were founded in 1994 and started in the AFL. After moving to Anaheim in 1996, the team was called Anaheim Piranhas .
Her greatest success was the playoff entry in 1994.
1994–1995 season (AFL)
In the first year the Sting moved into the playoffs with 5 wins and 7 losses, but there they lost to the Albany Firebirds with 30:49. In 1995, a balanced record of 6 wins to 6 losses was not enough to participate in the postseason .
After the 1995 season it was announced that the Sting would move to Anaheim and henceforth play under the name Anaheim Piranhas.
