The Laseron Islands are a chain of small, icy and rocky islands off the George V coast in the Australian Antarctic Territory . They are located 5 km east of Cape Denison in the Commonwealth Bay .
Participants in the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911-1914), led by the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson, discovered the islands. Mawson named it after Charles Francis LaserOn (1887-1959), a taxidermist in this expedition.
