Lasse Svensson (pastor)

Lars "Lasse" Anders Svensson (born May 28, 1971 ) is a Swedish Protestant pastor. Since 2012 he has been the kyrkoledare (president) of the Equmeniakyrkan .

Svensson studied at the Methodist Theological Seminary from 1993 and, after his ordination, worked in the Methodist S: t Jakobs kyrka in Gothenburg from 1997 , first as a youth pastor, later as a senior pastor. He was also superintendent on the side . In 2010 he took on the task of the processledare for the unification process of Baptists , Methodists and the Swedish Mission Church , which in 2011 became the Equmeniakyrkan . In 2012 he was elected the first kyrkoledare of the new church, with Sofia Camnerin and Olle Alkholm as deputies. In May 2016, the management trio was elected for a further four years. In the same month Sveriges Kristna råd , the Association of Christian Churches in Sweden, elected Svensson as the successor to Anders Arborelius as its new chairman.

Svensson is married and has three sons. He lives in Vallda in the municipality of Kungsbacka .
