preparation

Two vessels are necessary:

  • a glass mug
  • a champagne or other stemmed glass or a shot glass

Two preparation variants are known:

  • Pour spritzer or shandy into the beer mug and then sink the other glass filled with the liqueur into it so that it comes to a stop on the floor
  • Place the stemmed glass filled with cherry liqueur in the measuring jug and then fill it up with wine spritzer

Served like this, the drink looks like a lantern at first . While drinking, the glass tilts and the cherry liqueur increasingly mixes with the rest of the mixture. The last sip usually contains significantly more liqueur than the first sip.
