Latica Honda-Rosenberg
Latica Honda-Rosenberg (born December 29, 1971 in Bad Oeynhausen ) is a German violinist .
Latica Honda-Rosenberg received her first violin lessons from August Wilhelm Torweihe in Bünde. At the age of nine she played Tibor Varga , who then taught her privately. In 1982 she became his student at the Detmold University of Music . In the 1980s she won the national youth music competition three times (1983, 1984 and 1986 with special distinction). She passed her concert exam in 1993 with Zakhar Bron in Lübeck.
Among other things, she was a prizewinner at the International Tibor Varga Competition in Sion and the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels. In 1998 she was the first German finalist to win the silver medal at the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.
In addition to her worldwide work as a soloist and chamber musician, she taught as a professor at the Freiburg University of Music from 2003 . In 2009 she accepted a position at the Berlin University of the Arts .
