The Latin Brothers is a Colombian salsa group of worldwide fame, which is now led by Rafael Benitez.

Career

The Latin Brothers were founded in the 1960s by the brothers Pedro and José María Fuentes. They soon became popular among the Hispanic population of New York City in the salsa and Caribbean styles of music . In 1974 her first album "El Picotero" was released, which was sung by Píper Pimienta Díaz. The current musical director is Julio Ernesto Estrada López (born September 10, 1973), who was already active in bands such as Sonora Carruseles , Sonora Dinamita , Banda la Bocana and Fruko y sus Tesos . Other well-known band members are Alfredo de la Fé, Will Pertuz, Yorthley Rivas, Cariaco, Piper Pimienta and Joseíto Martínez. Her best-known hits include “A la Loma de la Cruz” (1974), “Dale al Bombo” (1975), “Buscándote” (1975), “Patrona de los Reclusos” (1975), “Las Caleñas son como las Flores” "(1975)," Sobre las Olas "(1986)," Las Calaveras "(1988) and" Salsa de la Soledad "(1990).
