The Launchy Gill is a river in the Lake District, Cumbria, England. The Launchy Gill is being built on the west side of the Armboth Fell west of the Thirlmere . The Launchy Gill first flows south to flow east to Thirlmere at the southern end of the Armboth Fell.
At the confluence with an unnamed small river, the Launchy Gill widens and is referred to as Launchy Tarn on the Ordnance Survey maps . ( 54 ° 31 ′ 32 ″ N , 3 ° 4 ′ 50 ″ W ) The Launchy Tarn is 7 m × 7 m in size and 1 m deep.
