Laura Balzer

Laura Balzer (* 1993 in Braunschweig ) is a German theater and film actress .

Life

Balzer studied painting from 2012 to 2015 at the University of Fine Arts in Braunschweig . During her studies, she switched to acting and studied this subject from 2015 to 2019 at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . For her acting performance in the play The Good Person of Sezuan , she was awarded the Student Critic's Prize of the Week of Young Actors in 2018 . In the same year she received the Max Reinhardt Prize for her role as Wolfi Wolfinger in Messias aus Hessen . She has been a member of the Ensemble of the Berliner Ensemble since 2019 and has worked on various pieces such asMother and sons , Amir or Katzelmacher .

In 2019 she starred as Lina Steinmann in an episode of the TV series SOKO Wismar . In the same year she had a role in the short film Gebranntes Kind . In The Story of the Rubble Girl Charlotte Schumann , she embodied the title-giving main role of Charlotte Schumann .
