Laura Eßer (born June 1, 1993 in Cologne ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Laura Eßer started her career at BC Stotzheim . She came to Fortuna Köln via BC Berrenrath , where she played until 2009. She moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the 2009/10 season . There she was initially mainly active with the B juniors. On April 18, 2010, she made her debut in the professional team during the league match against Bayern Munich's second representative , with whom she was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga in the same season. The defender was part of the first team's squad in the 2010/11 season and made her first division debut on August 15, 2010 in the game against FCR 2001 Duisburg when she came on for Lena Steinbach in the 76th minute . In total, Eßer made seven appearances in the Bundesliga for Leverkusen before returning to Fortuna Cologne for the 2011/12 season. Since then she has been one of the top performers of the regional league team, with whom she has been established in the Regionalliga West since the 2014/2015 season.

National team

Eßer played six games for the junior national team of the DFB . She last played in April 2009 in the U-16 national team's game against Italy.
