Laura Laabs
Laura Laabs (born April 25, 1985 ) is a German director .
Laura Laabs is the daughter of Daniela Dahn and Joochen Laabs , granddaughter of Karl-Heinz Gerstner and great-granddaughter of Karl Ritter . She studied at the Academy of Film and Television "Konrad Wolf" in Potsdam-Babelsberg film directing . Her first year film, the documentary Grandchildren of History , was awarded the special prize for the most innovative short film at the Visions du Réel Festival . The film consists of a conversation between Laabs and her grandmother Sibylle Gerstner , the founder and namesake of the fashion magazine Sibylle .
