Laura Turner
Laura Turner (born August 12, 1982 in Harrow ) is a British athlete . She participated in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing .
Career
At the beginning of her career, Laura Turner was a hurdler until she switched to the normal sprint in 2002 and from then on competed over the 100 meters and in the 4 x 100 meter relay. At the Junior European Championships in Tampere in 2003 , she finished sixth in the relay. At the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg Turner won the silver medal with the relay. At the 2007 World Championships in Osaka , she reached the semi-finals over the 100 meters. With the relay she finished fourth. Laura Turner was part of the British squad for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing .
