Laurence "Loz" Kaye (born August 27, 1970 in Manchester ) is a British politician. He was chairman of the Pirate Party UK (PPUK), the British pirate party , from September 26, 2010 to May 9, 2015 . He succeeded in this office the founding chairman of the party Andrew Robinson , who had recently resigned from his office.

Kaye has been earning his living since 1994 mainly as a freelance musical director, composer and sound designer in the theater sector, and is also active in this field as a teacher.

At a young age he became involved in the Labor Party , from which he left in 1993. In the 2012 local elections, Kaye ran in the Manchester-Bradford constituency and achieved the best result of his party in an election with 127 votes or 5.2%.

In the general election in May 2015 , the Pirate Party under Kaye only got around 1,100 votes, less than 0.1 percent. He resigned from the party presidency two days after the election in order to concentrate on his political activities in Manchester.
