Laurent Belissen (born August 8, 1693 in Aix-en-Provence , † February 12, 1762 in Marseille ) was a French composer of the late Baroque.

Laurent Belissen was a student of the "maître de musique" Guillaume Poitevin at the choir school of the cathedral of Aix-en-Provence . From 1722 Belissen was the successor to Esprit Antoine Blanchard (1696-1770) as "maître de musique" of the Saint-Victor Abbey in Marseille, the city where he worked the rest of his life. There he also directed the "Académie des concerts", which existed from 1717 to 1793.

His work mainly includes “Grands Motets” as well as Magnificat and Lamento scoring and several masses, of which the “Mass en Symphonie” in D only survived in fragments.
