Laurent Chiflet
Laurent Chiflet (born November 1598 in Besançon ; † July 8, 1658 in Antwerp ) was a Jesuit and grammarian .
life and work
Chiflet (also Chifflet or Chifletius) belonged to a Burgundian humanist family . In addition to numerous edification writings, he wrote a grammar of French ( published posthumously in 1659 ) , which was used in the Jesuit grammar schools and was published until the 18th century.
