Laurent Huard (born August 26, 1973 in Fougères ) is a former French football player and current coach .

Career

Huard began his career at the first division club Stade Rennes , where he first appeared in the first division in the 1990/91 season as a 17-year-old . After relegation in 1992, he celebrated his first ascent in 1994. In 1999 he moved to CS Sedan , also a first division team at the time. Just a year later he went to AS Saint-Étienne . Just a year later, the club was relegated. In 2002, at the age of just 28, Huard had to end his career because of a heart defect. He came to a total of 195 first division games and 15 goals. In 2006 he became an assistant coach at his first professional club in Rennes. A year later he took over the coaching post of the second team. Has worked in the reserve and junior division of Paris Saint-Germain since 2015 .
