Laurenz Haiden

Laurenz Haiden (* before 1449, † before February 14, 1486 ) was an Austrian knight and politician . From 1479 to 1484 he was mayor of Vienna .

Laurenz Haiden came from Vienna. His father was Heinrich Haiden , his mother's name was Anna. In the civil war between Emperor Friedrich III. and his brother Archduke Albrecht VI. the knight fought on the emperor's side. Between 1464 and 1465 he went on a trip to the Holy Land . Before that he married his first wife Benigna Weihenberger in 1458. In 1467 the second marriage to Barbara Eilinsgrab followed. He was first mentioned as mayor of the city on March 31, 1479, the last mention on December 1, 1484. Laurenz Haiden died in February 1486.
