Laurette Séjourné

Laurette Séjourné (* 1914 in Italy ; † May 25, 2003 ) was a Franco-Mexican American scholar .

Laurette Séjourné was born in Italy, but was a French citizen who was later naturalized in Mexico. Since 1950 she worked as an archaeologist at the Instituto Nacional de Anthropología e Historia de México . There she worked for 15 years as a senior archaeologist in excavations, especially in Teotihuacán, and was able to uncover three large buildings painted with frescoes .
