Laurids Bruun
Laurids Bruun (born June 25, 1864 in Odense , † November 6, 1935 in Copenhagen ) was a Danish writer . He also wrote under the pseudonym Pieter Adrian van Zanten .
Laurids Bruun worked as a buyer in Batavia ( Jakarta ) for his uncle's trading house. He gained European fame, also in German translation, through his robinsonades , love and South Sea stories, which result from his own experience. In the 1890s he made several study trips through Europe, Asia Minor, Southeast Asia and the South Seas.
