Law Landing (from English landing 'landing' ) is a pebble beach on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It's on the Macey Peninsula .
A team from the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions , led by the Australian polar explorer Phillip Law , who gave it its name, landed here on January 11, 1957 with the transport ship Kista Dan in search of a location for a research station. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia made the naming in 1991.
