Le Dreher was a jazz club in Paris that gained international attention in the first half of the 1980s.

From 1979 onwards, Club Le Dreher was located in the basement of the building, Rue Saint-Denis No. 1, on the corner of Place du Châtelet . During the performances of numerous jazz greats, some recordings were made that were published, such as duets by Mal Waldron / Steve Lacy , as well as concerts by Roy Burrowes , Walter Davis junior , Marion Brown with Hilton Ruiz . It also occurred u. a. John Surman / Kenny Wheeler , Anthony Davis , Sonny Stitt , Kai Winding , Teddy Edwards , Philly Joe Jones and Stanley Cowell .

Chet Baker's concert in Dreher with musicians such as Karl Ratzer and Riccardo Del Fra on February 29, 1980 was released as a film (director: Léon Terjanian ). Roscoe Mitchell dedicated The Le Dreher Suite to the club , which appeared on his album In Walked Buckner (1998). After a change of ownership in the mid-1980s, Le Dreher changed its program and abruptly ended its activities as a venue for jazz music.
