Le Marais (French for The marshland is) a small, mostly icy and rocky outcrops skirted area on the coast of the East Antarctic Adélielands . It forms part of the peninsula behind Cape Découverte .

In the Antarctic summer months, the area is characterized by numerous muddy meltwater pools , to which it owes its descriptive name. It was named by participants in a French Antarctic expedition that lasted from 1950 to 1951.
