Le Mariage de M. Anselme des Tilleuls (The wedding of Mr. Anselme von Tilleuls) is a story by the French author Jules Verne that has not yet been translated into German . It was first published in 1991 in Volume 3 of Manuscrits nantais , a collection of writings from Verne's estate. It was created in 1855.

The simple-minded Marquis Anselme des Tilleuls, not blessed with beauty, entrusts his Latin teacher with the search for a suitable bride. In addition, the Latin teacher Paraclet, who portrays the mocking figure of a scholar, is constantly occupied with Latin grammar . After many rejections from potential brides, he meets a bailiff who takes the chance to refer his daughter, who is difficult to get to the husband. After the arranged wedding, the couple has a child annually.
