Le Midi Socialiste was a French reform socialist daily published in Toulouse from 1908 to 1944 .

The newspaper was founded by the socialist MPs of the National Assembly Vincent Auriol (1947 to 1954 French President) and Albert Bedouce as a counterpart to the radical socialist newspaper La Dépêche du Midi . Auriol, who came from the Dépêche du Midi , took over the editor-in-chief, Bedouce, together with another Socialist MP, Antoine Ellen-Prévot, took over the management of the political department. The administration was carried out by Émile Berlia.

The Midi Socialiste had a circulation of 25,000 copies and published a total of 12,724 issues by the time it was discontinued.

He had some influence on regional politics in the early 20th century, largely thanks to respected authors such as Jean Jaurès , who had previously worked with the Dépêche du Midi (co-founder of the Humanité , murdered by a nationalist in 1914), Alexandre Varenne, Paul Ramadier (January Prime Minister until November 1947), Léon Blum (Prime Minister several times between 1936 and 1950) and the business journalist Etienne Billières.
