Le Quotidien jurassien is a French-speaking Swiss daily newspaper .
history
Le Quotidien jurassien was created in 1993 from the merger of the two regional newspapers Le Démocrate from Delémont , which was considered radical-liberal , and the Catholic-conservative Le Pays from Pruntrut . Although the two newspapers were politically opposed to each other for a long time, they were published by the same publisher "Editions D + P" in Delémont from 1878 until they were merged. Today's editions of Le Quotidien jurassien appear at the headquarters in Delémont. The publishers are still “Editions D + P”, a company of the “Démocrate Media Holding SA” group.
The newspaper has a WEMF - certified Edition (. PY 17'161) of 16'804 sold or 17'807 (previous year 17'981.) Distributed copies and a reach of 38,000 readers ((previous year: 42,000). WEMF MACH Basic 2018-II). The publishing house employs around 110 people in the editorial and printing departments .
Le Quotidien jurassien is one of the most important French-language daily newspapers for the Canton of Jura and the Bernese Jura . The newspaper appears Monday through Saturday. It is managed and archived , among others, by the Jurassic Cantonal Library .
