Lea Thiel

Lea-Natassja Thiel (born February 10, 1988 in Herten ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Thiel played basketball at SC Buer-Hassel and then at BG Dorsten . With the BG she played in the 1st Bundesliga as well as in the European club competition FIBA Europe Cup . The 1.68-meter-long construction player took part in the U16 European Championship with the selection of the German Basketball Federation in 2003 and 2004.

At club level, Thiel and BG Dorsten were German cup winners and second in the German championship in the 2003/04 season. In the 2006/07 season she played for the Herner TC in the second division. For the 2008/09 season she went back to BG Dorsten (now in the regional league), with whom she rose to the second division. After relegation to the regional league in spring 2011, Thiel moved to NB Oberhausen in the first division in the run-up to the 2011/12 season . She left Oberhausen at the end of October 2011 for professional reasons. She went back to the BG Dorsten. She last played for BG in the 2014/15 season.
