Leadpoint

Leadpoint is a ghost town in Stevens County in the US state of Washington . The city is located in the mountains southeast of Northport . Leadpoint was a mining town founded in the 1890s. High quality lead ore was discovered in the area and led to the creation of Leadpoint. Leadpoint had 200 residents. There was a hotel, general store, hairdresser, and several other stores. Eventually Leadpoint became a ghost town. Today only the one-room schoolhouse stands in Leadpoint.

The Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail passes through Leadpoint on its 1,200 mile (1,931 km) journey from the Continental Divide in Montana to the Pacific in Washington State.
