Leandro Sosa , full name Leandro Sosa Toranza , (born June 24, 1994 in Punta del Este ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

The 1.71 meter tall midfielder Sosa completed 26 games in the Segunda División for Club Atlético Atenas in the 2013/14 season . He scored five goals. At the end of the season, his club rose to the highest Uruguayan league. In the 2014/15 season he was used 29 times (six goals) in the Primera División , but returned to the second division at the end of the season with the club. In the Apertura 2015 he played in six league games (no goal). At the beginning of 2016 he was loaned to the Chilean club CD O'Higgins . There he played 21 first division games (two goals), three games (no goal) in the Copa Chile and two encounters (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2016 . At the beginning of February 2017 he was signed by the Racing Club de Montevideo , for which he has so far (as of March 2, 2017) scored two goals in three top division appearances.

National team

On May 19, 2015, he was nominated by coach Fabián Coito for the provisional squad of the U-22, which will compete in July 2015 at the Pan American Games 2015 in Toronto .
