Lebo Mathosa

Lebo Mathosa (* 1977 in Daveyton , South Africa ; † October 23, 2006 near Johannesburg ) was a South African Kwaito singer.

Mathosa began her career in 1994 with the South African band Boom Shaka before starting as a soloist in 1999. Her solo debut album Dream , released in 2000, reached gold status four weeks after it was released . At the South African Music Awards 2001 she won the award for the best dance album for Dream , for its single release Intro the award for the best dance single and the award for best singer.

Lebo Mathosa died on October 23, 2006, at the age of 29, in a car accident near Johannesburg.
