Daveyton is an administrative part of the metropolitan municipality of Ekurhuleni in the South African province of Gauteng .

In 2011 Daveyton had 127,967 residents. The district is located southwest of the township settlement Etwatwa and northeast of Benoni .
history
Daveyton was founded in 1952 as a township settlement. The Vista University had the East Rand Campus in Daveyton, who later founded by the 2004 North-West University was taken over.
traffic
The National Route 12 goes south of Daveyton along. The R51 runs on the western edge of the village. A railway line lies south of the village; Daveyton station is served by the Gauteng Metrorail as the terminus of the line from Johannesburg Park Station .
