Leatherneck is a German band (actually Ledernacken the stage name of Folke Jensen), which had mainly in the 1980s and 1990s a number of successes, especially in the American "underground" club scene.
history
The musical style of the first years was a mix of electronics, hard rock, dance floor, accompanied by ethno-African rhythms. The singing was in German and English. Because of the texts that were perceived as sexist and violent, it was hardly played on the radio.
Her biggest success was the single Amok! that played in the club scene in the 1980s. The musicians are and were also involved in numerous other projects, e.g. E.g .: Folke Jensen: Tilman Rossmy Quartet , Hall 2 ; Hayo Panarinfo: Beats 4 U, Boytronic , Extravaganza , Freud, Matiz , AC 16 , Polyphonic, Soulife, Triggertrax, U 96 .
