Lee Burswold
Lee B. Burswold (born November 16, 1933 in Chicago - † February 21, 2017 ) was an American composer , pianist and music teacher .
Burswold studied composition at Northwestern University and the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester . His teachers were Vittorio Rieti , Anthony Donato , Bernard Rogers and Howard Hanson . He taught at the North Park School of Music . In addition to two books on jazz, he has published numerous church music works as well as music for winds and strings. As a pianist he was active in the field of light music, jazz and ragtime.
