Keith Lee Jackson (born January 8, 1943 in Newcastle upon Tyne ) is a British musician. He played as a bassist with the bands Blues Incorporated , The Nice , Jackson Heights and Refugee .

From 1967 to 1969 Jackson was the bass player and singer with The Nice. While his stage outfit with tinted glasses and wide shirts fit perfectly into the hippie era, his singing was one of the band's weaknesses: he recited the lyrics rather than taking on the melody. After The Nice broke up, he founded the band Jackson Heights, where he sang again and initially took over the guitar, later he switched back to the bass and John McBurnie joined the band on guitar. In total, Jackson Heights produced four albums, all of which got good reviews but didn't sell very well. In 1973 Jackson gave up this band and founded together with Brian Davison, a companion of The Nice, and Patrick Moraz the band Refugee, which broke up after an album when Moraz switched to Yes . Jackson temporarily withdrew from the music business.

In the 1990s, Jackson returned with a blues project called the Ginger Pig Band . He also appeared on a short-lived reunion for The Nice.
