Lee Johnston (born March 10, 1989 in Northern Ireland ) is a British motorcycle racer .

Career

Johnston began his career around the British Superbike Championship . Since his debut at the North West 200 in 2008 , however, he has been considered one of the most talented young drivers in road racing , which he impressively demonstrated with a triple victory at the Ulster Grand Prix in 2015 . At both the Macau Grand Prix and the Isle of Man TT he was able to achieve his first respectable results. Since the 2012 season, Lohnston has been competing for East Coast Racing , which is maintained by contractor Phil Reed, on BMW and Triumph .

Johnston lives in Maguiresbridge , Northern Ireland. Lee Johnston is committed to a British cancer society and wears their F13K CANCER logo on his helmet after his father was diagnosed with this disease. His goal is to raise £ 13,000 in donations.

At the TT 2017 he had an accident in training and injured his back, but returned to the racing circuit the following year.
