Career

Priest grew up in Wallsend, Australia, where he also attended elementary school. His mother also practiced bodybuilding. At the age of 17 he took part in the IFBB's Australian qualification and achieved first place. He was able to defend this success the following year. Priest gained popularity thanks to his down-to-earth manner, laconic humor, and support for young bodybuilders. With a height of only 1.63 meters, he is one of the smaller professional bodybuilders. His normal weight is 130 kilograms, his competition weight is 90 kilograms. On July 1, 2000 he married Cathy LeFrancois, a professional bodybuilder, from whom he separated after a short time. An affair with the fitness trainer Adela Garcia was also over after a short time.

In 2006 he was suspended from the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) for attending an unapproved event. As a result, he could not take part in the Mr. Olympia elimination.
