Lee Rose (* in Jacksonville , Texas , as Lee Rosamond ) is an American country musician and radio host.

Life

Rose's career was interrupted at the beginning of his musical career when he was drafted into the US Army, in which he served during World War II. After his release, Rose returned to Texas, where he soon appeared on various radio stations. He made his first recordings for Freedom Records in the late 1940s or 1950s and worked for KCIJ in Shreveport , Louisiana in 1951 . He was also heard on KWKH, but his actual sphere of activity was in Texas.

While Rose was primarily a DJ, she also performed and sang from time to time. By 1951 he had already written over 100 pieces and in 1953 he joined the East Texas Hillbilly Jamboree .

1964 released on Rose's Country Hit Singles label. What happened to him afterwards is not known.
