The Lefèvre-Utile Point is a headland on the north side of Doumer Island in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 1.5 km west of Curie Point .
They were discovered by participants in the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition (1903-1905) under the direction of polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot . Charcot named it after the French pastry maker Louis Lefèvre-Utile (1858–1940), a sponsor of the research trip .
