The Lehstenberg is a 768 m high, heavily forested mountain in the northern Fichtel Mountains . It is located in the Upper Franconian district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtel Mountains , northeast of the city of Weißenstadt . In the mountain area there is the headwaters of the Lehstenbach without an actual source catchment.
Forest use
In 1499, the Reicholdsgrüner residents were allowed to buy wood from the Lehstenberg forest free of charge. Granite mining and peat extraction used to take place on the west side. Forest management is carried out by the Bayerische Staatsforste, Forstbetrieb Selb.
