The Leibniz Realschule is a Realschule in Wolfenbüttel , Lower Saxony , which was named after Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz . The school, which was awarded as an environmental contact school in 1993, has received several awards as an environmental school in Europe since 2003 .
history
The school was inaugurated on September 24, 1971, at that time under the name "Realschule Cranachstraße". Since November 9, 1971, it has been called the Leibniz Realschule.
The school building was originally designed to accommodate two types of school. Until 2004 it housed the orientation level and the secondary school. Today the building is fully used by the secondary school.
Foreign language teaching
The school offers English as the first foreign language from grade 5 and French as an elective from grade 6 as a second foreign language. Practice lessons are offered in a language laboratory to improve language skills.

Furnishing
In addition to the classrooms, there are specialist rooms for natural sciences (chemistry, physics, biology), for creative topics (music, art, works, textile design) and for housekeeping . The film and video room is used to visualize the course content.
The IT training takes place in specially equipped rooms; There are video projectors (mobile and permanently installed in a plurality of functional areas), mobile PC stations, scanners , and printers. All rooms are networked and have internet access .
The school has two student libraries. Physical education classes are held in a double gym and on outdoor sports facilities.
