Leif Edling

Leif Edling (born August 6, 1963 ) is a Swedish musician who became known as the main songwriter and bassist of the style-defining Doom band Candlemass , making him an influential figure in metal .

biography

Edling first played in the band Trilogy . Then he worked for Witchcraft. In 1981 he founded Nemesis . After Messiah Marcolin left Candlemass, the band became Edling's solo project. After the dissolution of Candlemass in 1994, Edling founded Abstract Algebra with Mats Levén . In 2002 Edling founded Krux .

equipment

Edling plays Mesa / Boogie 400+ amplifiers and an Ampeg 8 × 10 cabinet. He plays a Fender Precision 57 'Vintage and a Gibson Thunderbird bass.
