Epicus Doomicus Metallicus is the debut album of the doom metal band Candlemass .

history

Among other things, through the mediation of Mark Shelton from Manilla Road , Candlemass came to Black Dragon Records .

Boris Kaiser wrote in a review of the successor Nightfall in Rock Hard magazine : “Already on their debut 'Epicus Doomicus Metallicus' the Swedes CANDLEMASS showed with a song like 'Solitude' that they were one of the saddest bands of all time. Only the vocals of guest singer Johan Langquist did not do justice to the high musical level. "
