Leif de Leeuw is a Dutch guitarist. With his band he plays blues rock with influences from funk , soul and fusion .

Leif studied guitar at the Codarts Music Academy in Rotterdam . His role models include David Gilmour , Joe Walsh , Jeff Beck , Larry Carlton , Paul Kossoff and Andy Powell , but above all Johnny Winter .

The band includes Leif de Leeuw (guitar) Britt Jansen (vocals, guitar), Eibe Gerhartl (bass) and Tim Koning (drums). Her album Leelah , released in 2016, is named after the American transsexual Leelah Alcorn , who committed suicide in December 2014 at the age of 17.
