Leighton Dye
Leighton Dye ( Leighton William Charles Dye; born October 30, 1901 in St. Louis , † October 25, 1977 in Naples , Florida ) was an American hurdler who specialized in the 110-meter distance .
At the Olympic Games in 1928 he was fourth in 15.0 s.
In 1926 he became the US champion over the 120 yard hurdles. On June 16, 1928, he set a world record in Los Angeles with 14.6 s, which, however, was not ratified as a world record.
