Leithöfe is a hamlet that belongs to the local community of Winnweiler in the Donnersbergkreis .

Leithöfe is located southwest of Winnweiler, between Höringen and Potzbach at a junction.
history
The Leithof, as the place is actually called, was first mentioned in a document in 1518, but the first traces of settlement go back to the 11th century. The Leithof was older than the main town of Potzbach, to which the Leithof belonged politically. The place had 45 inhabitants in 1910 and 43 inhabitants in 1959. In 1979 the place was incorporated into Winnweiler together with Potzbach.
When the four-digit postcodes were introduced in 1961, the place was accidentally included in the postcode book as "Leithöfe" and has kept this name to this day. But it also serves to distinguish it from the Leithof near Orbis , also in the Donnersbergkreis.
Infrastructure
The state road 390 leads through the village, from which the district road 1 branches off to Potzbach.
