Leltschyzy ( Belarusian Лельчыцы ; Russian Лельчицы Leltschizy ) is an urban-type settlement in the southwest of the Belarusian Homelskaya Woblasz and the administrative center of the Leltschyzy Rajon .

The town, first mentioned in writing in 1569, has about 10,000 inhabitants and is located on the left bank of the Ubort , near the Ukrainian border, about 250 km southwest of Homel . The P-36 and P-128 highways intersect in the village .

The population of the village is made up as follows: Belarusians 95%, Russians and Ukrainians each 2%, other ethnic groups (Jews, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz) 1%.
