Lene Camilla Westgaard-Halle (born July 4, 1979 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian politician of the conservative Høyre party . She has been a member of the Storting since 2017 .

Life

Westgaard-Halle studied political science at the University of Oslo from 2003 to 2007 . She then worked as a communications consultant from 2007 to 2010. Between 2010 and 2014 she served as political advisor to the Høyre group in the Norwegian national parliament, the Storting . From 2014 to 2017 she was finally head of the finance department at the environmental foundation Zero Emission Resource Organization (ZERO).

Westgaard-Halle was involved in local politics, among other things, as a councilor in Drammen from 2003 to 2011. She was then a member of the local parliament of Larvik until 2015 . From 2007 to 2011 she was part of the fylkesting of what was then Buskerud Province , and between 2011 and 2019 she was part of the fylkesting of Vestfold . Westgaard-Halle was the chairwoman of her party in the then Vestfold province from 2015 to 2017.

In the 2017 parliamentary elections , she moved to Storting for the first time, where she represents the Vestfold constituency and is a member of the Energy and Environment Committee. Westgaard-Halle had already stood in the 2005 election, where she was, however, Vararepresentantin , i.e. a substitute member.
