Lennie Peterson

Lennie Peterson (* 1958 in Massachusetts ) is an American graphic artist, illustrator, musician and music teacher.

Peterson studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he taught arrangement, composition and musical performance from 1984 to 1994. He then worked as a freelance music educator, musician, band leader, composer, arranger, conductor, studio musician and producer, consultant and producer of audio and film productions, singer and pianist. As a trombonist, he has performed internationally with major symphony orchestras in Osvaldo Golijov's La Pasión según San Marcos . A DVD and CD of the Passion was made in Holland in 2009 and was shown in Carnegie Hall in 2013 .

In the 1980s, the autobiographical comic strip series The Big Picture was created , which appeared in more than 70 magazines and was published as a book by Andrews / McMeel Publishing . He also illustrated a dozen books, including Monica Mansfield's When You Have to Say Goodbye and Larry King's Remember Me When I'm Gone . A collection of composer portraits entitled Face To Face was exhibited at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center . He also gives lectures at universities and presents his works accompanied by live music.
